The glorious, fishy smelling, neon orange mushrooms we know & love begin as unsuspecting Russula species, becoming inhabited by a secondary fungus, Hypomyces lactiflourum, they slowly change into a fully new entity. Birth, Life, Death and Rebirth ad infinitum.
